Use our online system to make a one-time gift or to automate your recurring giving from your checking account, debit card or credit card.

Why automate your giving?

Automating your giving is a simple and easy way to prioritize financial discipleship by choosing to offer the first portion of your income to the Lord, regardless of whether you’re in town, on vacation, or at work. For Live Oak Church, having steady and stable giving throughout the year helps us to plan better and reduces stress during the leaner months of the year (e.g. summer).

You can make one-time and recurring gifts quickly and securely from your checking account or debit card using the app on your smart device.

You can also make a financial contribution by simply texting “GIVE” to 678-769-5254. After a one-time setup, you will be able to donate in just seconds in the future. Our text giving uses industry-leading security to protect your personal information. The donation is made from your checking account or debit card and is never charged to your phone bill.

You can also give in person during any worship experience. You'll find envelopes in the back of the seats in front of you.  Simply place your check or cash in the envelope, or you can fill out your debit and credit card information on the envelope and we'll process it for you.  Either bring the envelope to the front during our offering time, or drop it in the dropbox in the lobby.

Tithing is probably one of the most misunderstood principles in the Bible.  Tithing is a Biblical principle that establishes covenant between you and God, and you and the church (the storehouse).  The most important thing you need to know is that everything belongs to God … your car, your house, your clothes, your TV’s, your money ... everything belongs to God.  We are just stewards.

Psalm 24:1 - The earth is the Lord’s, and ALL its fullness,

Leviticus 27:30 - And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.

God puts it in our hands to test the condition of our heart.  Tithing has always been, and will always be a matter of the heart.

What exactly is a “tithe?”
A tithe is a tenth of the increase God has given us.  He gives increase in the form of U.S. currency.  That’s what we are to bring Him, to the storehouse, for the furthering of the gospel.

Some people get paid weekly, some bi-weekly, and some get paid monthly.  Whatever the frequency is, each time we receive increase, we are to bring a tenth of that increase to the storehouse.  The church is God’s earthly storehouse.  Your home church is nothing more than God’s hands extended in the earth realm.  God is not going to come down from heaven and preach, teach and do ministry.  He already did that through His Son, Jesus Christ.  Now, He expects us to carry on the mission of Jesus Christ.  In fact, He said in John 14:12, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.  Today, God needs somebody He can work through.  At LOC, we are offering our bodies (and ministry) a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1) so that He can work through us.

But why didn’t God say 2%, 5%, 15% or 20%?
In the Word of God, the number 10 symbolizes perfection of divine order.  When we return a tenth of what is the Lord’s to Him at the storehouse through the principle of tithing, that tenth is a representation of the 100%.  In every dollar, the dime represents the 100 cents.  When we return the dime to Him, then He brings supernatural divine order to the other 90% and blesses it so that we can do more with 90% than we could with 100%!  As a result, God brings divine order to our finances.

How is the tithe used for ministry?
Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 10:19 (TMB) -
it’s money that makes the world go around.  In a practical sense, it costs money to do ministry.  To promote the Gospel and provide a place for the broken to find healing, homes to be restored, relationships to be mended and souls to be saved, it takes air conditioners, electricity, paper, office equipment, paid staff, buildings, mortgages payments, water, telephones, copiers, equipment, and yes, even toilet tissue!  All of these things require maintenance, upkeep, monthly bills that have to be paid and much more!  This can not be done without faithful financial partners.  We cannot offer facilities like we have, or the quality of ministry that you will find at LOC without money.  Live Oak is also making a difference around the world in places like Africa, Philippines and the Dominican Republic.  We've help to build orphanages, churches, pastor's homes and dig wells.  We are able to do what we do through the tithes and offerings of our Covenant Partners.
