21 Days of Prayer 2021

Habakkuk 2:1-4 - I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.

I think we ALL have a personal vision that 2021 turns out far better than 2020.  But the reality is that the same challenges we had on December 31, 2020 were probably still there on January 1, 2021.  So i want to be clear...this new year shouldn’t be about asking God to show up and do something for us or change the circumstances of the world around us. I feel like it’s more about US getting in synchronization with Him...becoming more aware of His presence and His will.  It’s folly and presumptuous for us to think that God needs to do something different than what He’s already doing.  Maybe instead of asking what He’s going to do for us, we start this year by asking what does HE want US to do for HIM...

Habakkuk said (1:1), “I’m going to pray and see what He will say.”  And the next line implies that when God answers, His answers bring correction.  The word correction implies that we were incorrect, and need to be realigned with what He wants.  THEN we can write it down and run with it.

The word from Habakkuk 2 is this ... that if you want to know the vision, (1) you’re going to have to pray it out; (2) There is an APPOINTED time for the vision; (3) You’re going to have to live by faith UNTIL the appointed time.

So what i take from Habakkuk is that we have to...PRAY it out, WAIT it out, LIVE it out
